Covid 19 update: 5th November 2020
As we go back into lockdown, driving tests and lessons are cancelled from 5th November to 2nd December 2020.
When I do return to work, I will need to disinfect the car after every pupil, therefore due to the extra time that will take I will not be able to collect pupils from the more outlying areas. All lessons will have to start and finish from the Hexham, Corbridge or Stocksfield areas.
I will not offer 10 lessons for £230 while the virus is still active, in order that if we are shut down again I am not left owing people money.
As a ‘Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency’ Approved Driving Instructor (ADI) I aim to teach pupils to drive in a way that will establish safe driving habits for life. Whilst passing the driving test is a priority, keeping new drivers safe on the road is also essential, so I feel it can be dangerous to push pupils to do their test before they are fully ready.
As with all ADIs , the DVSA has to approve us as ‘fit and proper people’ which includes an enhanced DBS check (formerly known as Criminal Records Bureau Check).
I teach in a Renault Clio, fitted with dual controls for safety.
I cover the Tyne Valley area from Hexham to Prudhoe, and immediate area.
